Rendez-vous : Piano Vache
As music-lovers, jazz and blues in particular, we are very fortunate to live near a bar that features live Jazz-Manouche – gypsy jazz à la Django Reinhardt – every Monday evening : Piano Vache.
For the past 10 years, this legendary bar has been featuring Rodolphe Raffalli and his orchestra; Rodolphe on lead guitar, David Gastine on rhythm guitar and Raoul on standup bass. A true gypsy jazz trio.
The group’s repertoire is eclectic, from gypsy swing, Latin America influences to classics; songs from Georges Brassens, Edith Piaf, Charles Aznavour, Gainsbourg, Charles Trenet, Louis Armstrong…
They keep their music fresh with new and exciting interpretations that delight a packed house each and every Monday!
Where else on earth can you walk into an unpretentious and civilized bar on a Monday night and enjoy incredible live jazz – with no cover charge? Plus good wine and cheese at very reasonable prices! It is almost too good to be true!
Tucked away behind the Pantheon in the 5ème Arrondissement of Paris, there is a bar…
